James Gillum

James Gillum, 80, of Glen Ullin, ND passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016 at St. Alexius Health Bismarck. James Wayne "Man No Horses" Gillum had 80 years on this earth. He helped anyone that asked for help, no matter who or what they were. James could build or fix anything. James is survived by his wife Nancy (Putman) Gillum of Glen Ullin; children, Elizabeth Gillum of Glen Ullin, Bruce (Sara) Gillum of MI, Margaret (Tom) Watson of MI, Patricia Gillum of MI, Reatha Van Eck of MI; brother, Tad (Frances) Gillum of AZ; sister Beverly Wellington of SC; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, T.D. and Irene (Laster); brothers; George and Bobby Gillum; sister, Linda Concord; and son-in-law, John Van Eck. A Memorial Service for James will be 1:00 p.m. CDT, Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Spangelo-Stevenson Funeral Home, Glen Ullin with Betty "Red Earth Woman" Hyatt officiating. Visitation for James will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. CDT, Wednesday at the funeral home. A Drumming Ceremony will take place Monday evening at the family home.
