Mr. James “Jim” Hoffman died peacefully on Saturday, September 3, 2016 in Racine at the age of 80. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, August and Katherine; his brother, George, and his sister, Jean.

Jim is survived by his daughters, Susan Lott (husband Dannie), Paula Wilde (husband Kevin); grandchildren, Zachary Lott (wife Gina), Alex Lott (wife Stephanie), Jordan Lott , Lyndsay Wilde, Olivia Wilde; greatgrandchildren, Jayden and Bailey Lott, Daniel Lott; brother, Roger Hoffman (wife Ronnie); cousins, nieces and nephews; other relatives and dear friends.

Jim was born on July 21, 1936, in Racine, WI. After graduating from Wm. Horlick High School he proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1953 until 1961. After leaving the Navy he returned home to Racine to raise his family. He was employed at Gorton Machine, Kearney Trecker and retired from DTI.

Jim always enjoyed “tinkering” and his many hobbies. Jim loved connecting with people throughout the world on his Amateur “Ham” radio and is still searching for a problem he can’t fix. More than anything, Jim cherished the time spent with his family.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday, September 10, 2016, 5-6 P.M. with a Memorial Service at 6:00 P.M.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Kenwood Keyes for their loving and compassionate care.
