DENTON, James D. Kalamazoo James passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 at the age of 76. He was born March 7, 1939 in Kalamazoo, MI to the late William and Lucy (Grogg) Denton. James was united in marriage to Virginia Barber on June 30, 1962. James is survived by his wife, Virginia Denton; children, Veronica (Wayne) Martinka, Teresa (Faron) Holloway, Rosealie (Mark) Cornell and Jenny (Billy) Smith; several grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Dale and 2 grandchildren. A celebration of Jim's life will take place on Saturday, October 24th, 4:00pm, at The Salvation Army, 1700 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. An indoor picnic following. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army.
