Jacqueline Janet Gipson, known to many as "Jackie," was a 54 year old resident of Paw Paw, Michigan. She was born on August 17, 1962 in South Haven, Michigan and made her transition from her home to her home with the Lord February 18, 2017. Anybody who knew her would know she was one of the sweetest, giving, caring, and tell it like it is women you would ever meet. She loved to be in the background and see her work make others happy. Doing things such as hosting parties, church functions, family gatherings, and anything else she felt her keen creativity and willingness would shine through. She worked as a press operator for many years at Duo-Tang, later renamed Centis, where she met and made many friends. She was asked one time what was she proud of in her life, and she answered, my family. She was known to invite you in and offer you a plate regardless if a visitor was known or unknown, that was just Jackie. She was married to James L. Gipson Sr. November 1983, later having two children. She was preceded in death by both her parents, her mother, Georgia T. Wilson, and father, Albert C. Wilson. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, James L. Gipson Sr.; her son, James L. Gipson Jr. (Cheri); a daughter, Jamila Davis (Allen); 6 grandchildren; siblings, Renee Kashay (Alem), Constance Fortenberry, Dora Willis, Henry Perry Jr., Georgia D. Wilson, Alfred Wilson (Sharon), Candice Wilson, Jeffery Wilson Sr., Stephanie Arteaga ( Valente), and Samuel Wilson (Sharonda); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. She will be missed. visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, 12-1 PM at the Bethel Star Community COGIC in Kalamazoo where services will follow at 1 PM, Pastor Hermon Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery. Arrangements by the Bloomingdale Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home.
