Jackie Carlson, age 55, of Kalamazoo, MI, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday December 20, 2016 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Jackie was born and raised in Edmore, MI- but Kalamazoo is what she called home. She worked for the Chamber of Commerce for many years and came to be known as the "face of Kalamazoo". Once Jackie retired she taught herself to crotchet. She poured her heart into all of the creations she made for family and friends. She also had a passion for the youth of the community, and was invited many times to speak at area high schools. She was preceded in death by her Mom and Dad. She is survived by her Sister and best friend Brenda McKinley of Kalamazoo, two nephews Brandon McKinley, Ryan (Danielle) McKinley of Kalamazoo, and her great nieces Sage and Harper McKinley.
