Jack LaCoss

Jack E. LaCoss, age 83, of Portage, MI passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017. Jack was born in Kalamazoo on July 5, 1934; the son of the late Theodore R. and Daisy B. (Root). He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during the Korean Conflict. On June 12, 1954, he was united in marriage to the former Dorothy E. Crawford who preceded him in death on May 18, 2017. Jack was also preceded in death by a son, Keith L. LaCoss; grandson, Matthew Jenkins; brother, Theodore LaCoss, Jr. and sister, Connie Loy. He is survived by his children, Tim (Anne) LaCoss, Patricia (John) Koslek and Jacqueline Pieri; daughter in-law, Debra (Louis Vallier) LaCoss-Vallier; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald (Doris) LaCoss and sister, Beverly (Gaylen) Stecker and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. A time of visitation will take place at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, c/o the funeral home.
