Jack Durren

Jack was born September 11,1925. He passed away September 25, 2019 at Upjohn Care and Rehab Center, where he resided for 6 years. He passed away peacefully with family at the bedside. The nursing staff was great and much appreciated. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Crystal, brother Richard, sister Joanne and his wife, Rosemary. He is survived by his sister, Joyce; children, Sherry, Mark (Christine) and Carol; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Jack was a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident. He attended Kalamazoo Central High school and Western Michigan University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was the paint and surface coating guru of Douglas and Son Paints for 40 years, selling to many businesses and organizations in the community, working until he was 72 years old. There will be no visitation or service and cremation has taken place. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel is assisting Jack's family.
