Irene Lalor, age 90, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. She was born in Falun, WI, May 19, 1924, daughter of the late Hugh and Hazel (Nee: Oman) Smith.

On March 6, 1943 she was united in marriage to Laurence J. Lalor who preceded her in death in 2004. Irene enjoyed gardening and was honored to receive a Belle Award in 1992 in recognition of the beautiful gardens surrounding her home. She treasured time spent with her family especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her children, Christine Dennison, Colleen Gray, Carolyn (Bob) Ratelis, Charles (Sandy) Lalor; grandchildren; great grandchildren; great grandchildren; sister, Clarissa “Sue” Lalor; sister-in-law, Betty Smith; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers, Daniel, Hugh, Elmo, Eugene, and Clifford; and a grandson, Paul Mortensen.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Friday, April 3, 2015, 7:00 P.M. with Reverend Tony Larson officiating. Private interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet at the funeral Friday, 5:00 P.M. until time of service.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff on the third floor of Wheaton Franciscan All Saints for their loving and compassionate care.
