Ina Marie “Peggy” Edick, 79, of Cedar, died Thursday, July 24, 2014, at her home. Born April 21, 1935, at home in Bay City, she was the daughter of Michael Bert and Mary Madeline (Misko) Gorman.

She grew up in St. Charles and was a member of St Mary’s Catholic Church.

Ina and her husband, Norman, eloped in 1960 in West Branch and traveled the U.S. and Alaska. They traveled every U.S. state except Hawaii.

Peggy was employed with Auto Owners in Saginaw and retired in 1993 as a supervisor with Auto Owners in Traverse City.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery, crossword puzzles and reading. Peggy loved eating crispy fries, the casino and old movies.

Peggy is survived by her children, Nancy Katherine Edick, of Cedar, Bradley Raymond (Trisha) Edick, of Brighton, and Aaron Albert (Denise) Edick, of Traverse City; three grandchildren, Mackenzie E., Jessica P. and Justin M.; sibling, Mary Anne (Bill) Stasek, of Chesaning; brother-in-law, DeWayne (Sue) Edick, of Grand Blanc; sister-in-law, Chari Edick, of Holly; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Lee Edick, who died in 2011; and a brother, James J. Gorman, who died in 2001.

Cremation has taken place. The family will remember her privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Biederman Cancer Treatment Center Transportation Fund.
