Hillary McCurdy

Hillary Rose McCurdy of Waterford, CT, age 25, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. Hillary was born May 13, 1991 in Kalamazoo, MI. Hillary graduated from East Lyme High School in 2010. Hillary is survived by her parents, Vince and Jane (Leathers) McCurdy; her brothers, Thomas and Patrick; her grandparents, Mary (Enright) McCurdy of Johnston, RI and Thomas and Joan (Stone) Leathers of Elwood, IN. Hillary also leaves behind many special friends including Anthony Diacri and Kaitlyn Schmidt; and her faithful canine companion, Tahoma. Hillary was a fun-loving, full-living girl who was the light of her family's life. Her days were a social whirl full of activities with her mom by her side. Although Hillary's light has moved on, we will continue to live her legacy that "Love Wins". Funeral arrangements are being handled by Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home of New London, CT. For the family's Midwest friends, a Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 2-4 PM Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Bravo Restaurant, 5402 Portage Rd. Portage, MI to share memories and hugs. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be gifted to Special Olympics Connecticut (Mystic-Ledyard Bowling Team or the New London Swim Team), High Hopes Therapeutic Riding or Canine Companions for Independence.
