Herman Schreuder

Herman Ray Schreuder died on November 14, 2019 at the age of 85 in Portage, Michigan. He was born in Comstock, Michigan on a celery farm to Samuel and Anna (Newmyer) Schreuder on September 17, 1934, the seventh of eight children. Herman married Johanna Van Den Berg on January 25, 1957. He worked at Miller Davis and Bracy Construction. Herman was a member of what was formerly known as Trinity Reformed Church and enjoyed being with his family and friends, bowling, bocce ball, showing his antique tractors and playing card games and bingo. Herman was preceded in death by his son, Steven; siblings, Martin, Henry, Annette Kuilema, Winifred Bachelder, and Wilma Jones. He is survived by his wife; daughter, Sally; grandson, Samuel; daughter-in-law, Karen; and siblings, Marian Meeker and Grace Shipe. The family will greet friends on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 3-6:00 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 411 E Centre Ave, Portage, Michigan 49002.
