Helen Linders

Helen Lenore Linders, 94, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 29, 2021. She was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1927 to the late Leonard and Effie Stryker Linders. She graduated from Kalamazoo Christian High School in 1945, and from Reformed Bible College, now Kuyper College in 1959. Helen was a member of Alger Park Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids. She was employed with Christian Reformed World Relief Committee for 30 years as an administrative assistant as well as Consumer's Power Company, Reformed Bible College, and Dr. Daniel Christian as a receptionist. Helen sang with the Kalamazoo and Calvin Oratorio and will be remembered as a soloist and choral director. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Henrietta Linders and Nancy Linders. She is survived by two brothers, Roger Linders and Ken (Joanne) Linders; several nieces and nephews, Ann (Tom) Triemstra, Kathy (Larry) Hoeksma, Nancy (Dan) Earles, Kevin (Sharron) Linders, Kim (Dan) DeHaan, Karole (Thom) Parynik and Keith Linders, as well as many great nieces and nephews and special friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday December 3, 2021 at Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St. SE, Grand Rapids, Mi 49546. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Private burial will be held in Kalamazoo, MI. Those wishing to do so may make memorial contributions to Kalamazoo Christian School, Kuyper College or World Renew in her memory.
