Harry Doyle

Passed away peacefully on 9/ 23/2018, after a short illness. Harry was born October 14, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan to William Patrick and Mary Susan [Vera] (Lipe) Doyle. He graduated from Detroit Catholic Central High School in 1942. Harry proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1947. Following his service, Harry began working with his brothers, Bill and Jack at Automatic Tool & Cam Manufacturing Company where he completed 31 years as a co-owner and tool maker. Harry married the love of his life, Rosemary Grimes on September 4, 1950. Harry was a devout Catholic and was a longtime active member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society of Detroit. He was dedicated to his family and spent many enjoyable times vacationing at lakes and cottages in Southeast Michigan. Harry had a long term love/hate relationship with the game of golf and the Detroit Lions. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Rosemary; his children, Joseph Doyle of Muskegon and Karen Rollins of Kalamazoo; his grand children Patrick (Jackie) Doyle, Timothy (Jessica Strong) Doyle, and Cassandra Rollins; and his great grand children Amelia and Ian Doyle. A funeral Mass will take place at St. Monica Catholic Church, 534 West Kilgore Rd, Kalamazoo 49008, October 5, 2018 at 10:30a.m. with luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society 513 Eleanor St., Kalamazoo 49007.
