GraceAnne Hoffa of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Borgess Hospital. Age 83. She was born in Kalamazoo on August 23, 1933, the daughter of the late Harlan Hoffa and Grayce (Bushouse) Hoffa. She attended Western Michigan University, studying in the Teaching Program. In the 60's and 70's she was a leader in 4H and supported it throughout her life. She provided service as a bus driver for the schools, the city of Kalamazoo and the disabled as well as 4H. She retired from Borgess Hospital. Following her retirement she continued to serve Borgess as a volunteer. She was a long standing member and active volunteer of Haven Reformed Church. She had many interests, which included showing Welsh Pony's and Arabian horses and was very enthusiastic with her family genealogy. Most of all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her family. GraceAnne is survived by four children, Sally (Bruce) Davidson, Susan (Steve) Geyer, Hilbrand (Rhonda) Sybesma and Michael Sybesma; five grandchildren, Graham Davidson, Monica (Ryan) Nelson, Aaron Davidson, Jacob Sybesma and Benjamin Geyer; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (JoAnn) Hoffa and Henry (Mary) Hoffa; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 27th at Haven Reformed Church, 5350 N. Sprinkle Rd., officiated by Pastor John Sparks. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or American Stroke Association .
