Gordon W. Villwock
March 10, 2014, age 88 years. Husband of Betty for 65 years. Father of Gordon Dean Villwock, Debbie Meunier, Katherine Banghart, Mike (Sandra) Villwock, and Jeff Villwock. Grandfather of Corey, Chad, and Joe Banghart, Chloe Meunier, Ben and Cris Villwock. Brother of Pat (nee Kari) Shloden, Lavern (nee Kari) Morris, and the late Walter Kari, Jr. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Gordon proudly served as a Sergeant in the US Army during WWII and fought on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day and received two Purple Hearts for injuries he sustained during his tour of duty. He retired as Superintendent in 1988 after 35 years of service at Cardinal Fabricating Corp., manufacturing structural steel throughout Wisconsin.
Private interment services with Military Honors will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery Donation Program (21731 Spring Street, Union Grove, WI 53182 - checks should be made payable to SWVMC with "in memory of Gordon Villwock" in memo) for beautification projects at the cemetery.
