Gordon R. Haley

Gordon Reno Haley, “Gordy” passed away suddenly at age 49, on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. He was born in Harbor City, CA, September 13, 1967, son of James and Sue (Nee: Reno) Haley.

Gordy was a hard worker. He was a painter by trade, but he loved working at Racine Riverside Marine by the water, where he and crews prepared boats for seasonal fun and for winter storage. In his youth, he was an avid surfer. Gordy loved to laugh and see life on the light side. He really enjoyed family outings, especially cookouts and holidays. Of course, he was a rowdy Packer fan. He is already dearly missed.

Surviving are his mother, Sue Nuenke; son, Brandon A. Haley; Jean Jenner, whom he dearly loved and her daughters, Kristinna Peterka, Nicole Serpe, Jamie Serpe; step grandchildren Jor’Dynn, Kayden, Emmanual, Diontrey Jr., Maison and Leonardo; aunts Marilyn Mallonee, Nancy Reno, Judy Gurley and Bev Reno; close cousins Lisa Wear, Amanda Poszony, Mimi Benton, Christy Gurley, Jeff Gurley and Randy Reno and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Jerry James Haley; stepfather, Norman Nuenke; and namesake uncle, Gordon Reno.

A memorial service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, August 16, 2017, 3:00 P.M. with Jim Olson officiating. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service, 2-3 P.M. Memorials to the family have been suggested.
