Gertrude Nap

Gertrude Nap, of Kalamazoo, MI went to be with her Lord and Savior August 13, 2016 at the age of 100. She was born in Decatur, Michigan to the late Abraham and Effie (De Boer) Vander Molen. Gertrude was united in marriage to Richard Nap on November 19, 1947, who preceded her in death in November of 2013. Also preceding her in death was her daughter, Cynthia (Nap) Daoust. She is survived by her son, Philip Nap; her brother, Richard (Betty) Vander Molen; her sister, Alice Stanton; and a sister-in-law, Donna Cleveland. Gertrude was retired from Kalamazoo Stationary. She was a lifelong member of First Reformed Church and later Second Reformed Church. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17th at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., with Rev. Kevin Hart officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Private interment will take place in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, North. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Second Reformed Church Building Fund.
