Gerald "Gerry" Nievin

Gerald “Gerry” G. Nievin, age 80, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. He was born in Milwaukee, WI, July 27, 1937, son of the late Anton and Clara (Nee: Glapinski) Nievinski.

Gerry proudly served in the United States Air Force. On July 9, 1976 he was united in marriage to Marlene J. Gorecki. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Gerry enjoyed golfing, playing cards, but most of all traveling to Mexico, Alaska, and the North Atlantic Cruise.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Marlene; his children, Garrett (Felicia) Nievin of VA, Stacy (William) Tuinstra of Racine, Heather (Michael) Darpino of North Carolina; his stepson, Gregory Cee of Milwaukee; siblings, “Luckie” (William) Huber of Waukesha, Ralph Nievinski of North Carolina; grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 7, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Avenue, with Rev. Ricardo Martin officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.
