Age 85, died October 4, 2018 at Borgess Hospital. She was born February 22, 1933, in Stigler, Oklahoma. Georgia married Allen Kahl on March 21, 1953. She retired as a welder operator from General Motors in 1993. Georgia was an active member of the Faith of the Apostles Church in Paw Paw. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents: Rolla and Dicie (Bittle) Mitchell, her husband Allen, her daughter Debra Helena Bowler, and 8 brothers and sisters: Frank, Anzewary, Bessie Yant, Elsie Grim, Lewis, Ancel, and her twin brother George. She is survived by her children: Theresa Kahl, Ronald Kahl, and Kimberly (Dennis) Weesner; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law: Joyce Mitchell and Florma Mitchell; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 7th at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Avenue. Services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, October 8th at Faith of the Apostles, 34580 M-40, Paw Paw, with Pastor David Harn officiating. Graveside services will follow at the chapel at Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South, with Elder James Sumners officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial be directed to the family for expenses. Georgia affected so many lives and all for the good. She was loved by all her family and friends and church family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
