George Rehe

Rehe, George "Buzz" Kalamazoo Age 73, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021. Buzz was born in Chicago, IL, on August 28, 1947, the son of George Aaron and Patricia Elizabeth (Calhoun) Rehe. George attended Western Michigan University. He loved anything "Michigan", and especially loved being a Detroit Tiger fan. He liked anything to do with water; swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, and boating. He particularly liked taking the pontoon boat out on Miner Lake in Allegan. On December 1, 2015, he was finally able to marry the love of his life, Kenneth D. Bisnett, who survives him. Buzz and Ken enjoyed a total of almost 39 years together. They were fortunate enough to be able to do some traveling together. They found cruises to be exceptionally fun. Buzz was also an avid lover of dogs and cats. Besides his husband, Buzz is survived by his siblings, Patricia Cook of Portage, Mary (Jim) Spray of Allegan, Edward Rehe of Allegan, and Michael (Lisa Lewman) Rehe of Three Rivers; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pam Steffic. The family is planning a Celebration of Buzz's life to be held sometime in the summer. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, c/o the funeral home. "I was blessed to have 38 years with Buzz and he will be missed every day until we meet again.
