George Long Jr.

Passed away Tuesday, October 24 after a hard fight with cancer. Skip was from the Galesburg/Comstock area but has resided in California for many years. He was a retired member of the pipe fitter's union 364. He enjoyed his summer home in Washington, fishing, car shows, quad riding, hunting, and re-building cars. Skip was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jean Long. He is survived by his wife, Diana, son Mike (Dawn) Long of Wisconsin, daughter Cindy (Todd) Davis of Michigan, Sister Beth Frayer, sister Melissa (Ken) Brinkley and grandchildren, nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly. Skip had many friends who he enjoyed spending time with. No memorial service.
