Passed away October 21, 2016 at Allendale Nursing Home. Genevieve was born March 6, 1927 in Kalamazoo the daughter of the late John and Jeanette (Handlogten) Fryling. She was married September 14, 1966 to Walter Owens, in Grandville, MI, who proceeds her in death. Also proceeding her in death are her sisters, Marcia and Beatrice; brothers, Robert and Howard; and her grandson, Joseph Watkins. Genevieve is survived by her children, Sandra Beatty of Chicago, Debra (Ken) Watkins of El Paso, and Ed Mulder of Sandusky; 4 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering will be held by her family. Genevieve was loved by her friends and she will be remembered for her social grace, love for card games and her heart for others.
