Genevieve Anne Isaacson, ‘Bebe’ age 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday July 15th 2017. She left her surviving son Jon, grandson Matthew and granddaughter Darby Isaacson to join her husband Henry and son Paul in Heaven. Genevieve was larger than life itself; with an unprecedented tenacity and superb wit, she taught Physical and Health Education for 35 years in the Detroit Public School System. Genevieve influenced thousands of people throughout her career with her positive go-getter attitude, always pushing people to do better and achieve a higher standard than the norm. Family always came first with Bebe; she stressed the importance of family and how they’re the only ones that you can count on! She never expected anything in return for her kindness and generosity. She consistently gave her free time to volunteer at local food shelters, outreach centers and church groups throughout her retirement years. Her passion for dancing and instructing others on how to line dance, kept her active well into her late 80’s. We will love her and she will forever be in the hearts and minds of those people she came into contact with. A memorial will be held in her honor next July, 2018.
