Gary Mendles

Gary E. Mendles, age 78 of Richland, died peacefully at home December 24, 2020. He was born December 25, 1941, in Hackensack, New Jersey, the son of Alfred and Eleanor (Briggs) Mendles. Gary married Sandra LaFleur. He was a technical trainer for FlowServe. Gary loved cars and had a passion for working on them and for several years he raced in the Big Bend Open Road Race in Fort Stockton, Texas. His family includes his children: Ellen (Robert) Mendles-Hamann, Chris (Debbie) Mendles, and John Mendles; his grandchildren: Dr. Danielle (Andrew Hicks) Hamann, Megan Hamann, Kristin Mendles, and Jacob Mendles; and his faithful dogs, Emma and Aubrey. He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Mendles and his brother John Mendles. Following Gary's wishes, cremation will take place and a private family service will be held.
