Garold Johnson

Garold “Gary” Johnson, age 70 of Douglas, passed away in his home on Sunday, May 10, 2015 after a long illness.

Gary is remembered for his contagious laugh and sense of humor. Next to his family, Gary's passion was upholstering furniture. He worked at Baker Furniture as an upholsterer and later made that his life’s work. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin H. and Beatrice E. (Miller) Johnson, both of Douglas, brothers Michael and Melvin Johnson and sister BeAnn (Johnson) Arnold.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Peggy and children: Eric Johnson, Matthew and wife Kelly (Smith) Johnson; grandchildren; Samantha, Megan and her fiancé Ken Warner; great grandchildren: Kameron Warner and Haley Warner; sister and brother: Connie Betz and Tony and Linnea (Bekken) Johnson; many nieces and nephews.
