Gale William Boniface, age 74, of South Haven comfortably passed into eternal life on January 19, 2018 in Port Richie, FL. Gale is the son of the late Orvil and Lefa (Jones) Boniface, former owners of the Shelbyville Tavern. He is a graduate of Wayland High School and spent his career as a tool and die operator at GM from 1965 until retirement in 1999. He resumed his career as a mechanical engineer for Stanhall Manufacturing from 1999-2001. Gale then spent several years touring the US in his RV's with his wife Jennie by his side. He spent the winter months with many cherished friends in Port Richie, FI. Gale's carpentry skills and the four musketeers were known by many. He took great pride in his top notch landscaping skills. You know he was happy when he was on his lawnmower or on the beach. But above all Gale was a family man and spent many days in the stands cheering on his kids and grandkids. Gale is survived by his wife Jennie, his children: Lori (Tim) Barrett, Sheryl (Jerrold) Baushke, Brien (Justine) Boniface and stepchildren: Michelle (Jeff) Keyes and Shawn Schneider. Brother, Dale (Helen) Boniface and Sister, Marlene (Sierd) Hoekstra. Gale was blessed with 7 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and 9 precious great grandchildren and step great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held February 18, 2018 at 1200 pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 119 East Delaware St. Decatur, MI, 49045. A luncheon to immediately follow at the VFW Post 6248, 560 N.
