Price, Gabriel Michael Gabriel Michael Price, age 40, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 with his caring family at his side. For almost three years; Gabriel fought a courageous battle against a rare form of cancer. His strength and resolve was an inspiration to many. Gabriel was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan; grew up in Jenison, Michigan and was a proud graduate of the James Madison College at Michigan State University. Gabriel was an accomplished athlete, excelling in swimming and triathlons. He loved all MSU Spartan sports teams and was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. Gabriel loved the outdoors, and spent many days happily hiking and camping in the peaceful wonders of nature and the outdoor playground Michigan offers. Gabriel is survived by his spouse of five years, Alyssa Price (Carr), parents, Michael and Elizabeth Price (Brill), along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Although Gabriel and Alyssa did not have children of their own, Gabriel is also survived by his lovely fur-daughter, Paisley. He enjoyed all of the nature and wonder he helped bring into his and Alyssa's lives; always pushing them to take her on new adventures. Gabriel and his family were humbled by the outpouring amount of support from relatives, friends and neighbors during his battle. Although too difficult to thank each individual, Gabriel and his family are grateful for the tremendous support shown by his work "family" at Applied Imaging in Grand Rapids. The care and concern of Harbor Hospice was also greatly appreciated. The family will receive visitors at Ada Bible Church's Knapp Street Campus (3869 Knapp St NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525) on Monday, November 20th from 5-7pm as well as on Tuesday, November 21st at 9:30am also at the church. The funeral will follow starting at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to either Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, (1275 York Ave. New York, NY 10065) or to Harbor Hospice, (1050 W. Western Ave # 400, Muskegon, MI 49441).
