Francis "Frank" Schroeder, age 85, of Paw Paw, peacefully departed from this world on December 30th, to be with our Lord. He leaves behind his beloved family: wife, Anne, son, Eric (Christina) of Naperville, IL, daughter Janis (Robert) Onofrio of Kalamazoo, MI, grandchildren, Aaron Retterer (deceased), Carrie (Mike) Quinn of Oswego, IL, great-grandchildren, Aidan, Connor, and Alyssa Quinn, sister-in-Law Mary (Frank) Mihelich of Paw Paw, nieces Pamela (David) Blowers of Kalamazoo, Brenda (Dale) Wills of Paw Paw, Miriam Bruning of Paw Paw, Joan Mozucha (deceased), nephew John Mozucha of Fla. great-nephew Brian (Carrie) Bruning of Paw Paw, and great-niece, Natalie Blowers, special cousins, Maureen & James Graham, David & Lorraine Mason, Kenneth Schell, Walter Schell, Mary Thackston, and John Schell, along with other cousins in the surrounding Detroit area. His parents, Joseph and Irma Schroeder, preceded him in death. Frank retired from Whirlpool, Inc. where he worked in the Washer and Dryer Group. In 1994 and since then he enjoyed his years doing whatever he wanted to do and when. Although Frank was a quiet, humble man, he possessed a dry sense of humor. Most of all, he had a unique bond with his wife and children. Frank and Anne are the classic couple of "opposites attract" and were about to celebrate 61 years of marriage in February. He enjoyed reading, playing UpWords, cards, golfing, watching sports, traveling, and visiting with family and friends. His "mark" on earth and memories will remain forever in our hearts. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 5, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw. Mass of Christian burial will follow on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Catholic Church, Paw Paw, with Fr. Joseph Xavier officiating. Burial will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery.
