Age 96, of rural Three Rivers, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019 following a brief illness. She was born in Plainwell, MI on Nov. 17, 1922 the youngest of seven children born to Dwight and Edith (Eley) Marker. She was married to Rex Hamilton Weinberg on Aug. 16, 1941 in Kalamazoo. Together they operated a farm north of Mendon, owned a Dry Cleaning and Laundry service in the Oakwood Plaza, and managed the former John Deere dealership in Vicksburg. She and her husband were members of the Farm Bureau and worked the Farm Bureau booth and ushered at the grand-stand at the county fair for many years. They were active members for 70 years at the West Mendon EUB Church, now know as the West Mendon Community Church. They spent winters in Florida starting in 1962, and she enjoyed a game of dominos or bingo while visiting with friends. Frances enjoyed yard-work and gardening, and she loved time spent with her family. She took great pride in keeping things neat, clean, and organized. Frances is survived by a son and daughter in law, Ron and Pat Weinberg of Mendon; five grandchildren, Troy (Sandra) Weinberg, Sheli (Mark) Daniels, Jeff (Elizabeth) Jergens, Robin (Mark) Parks, and Tim (Tonya) Jergens; 20 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; son in law, Pat (Judy) Jergens; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rex in 2010; daughter, Carolyn Jergens in 2006; and by 6 siblings. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will be 11 am Friday, Oct. 4, 2019 at the West Mendon Community Church where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Mendon Cemetery.
