Florence Herald

Florence May Herald, age 89 of Traverse City, died on January 9, 2019. Florence was born on May 2, 1929 in Traverse City to Carl F. and Bertha (Stites)Thayer.

She married Bill Herald on July 7, 1947 and they spent 64 wonderful years together. Florence was a clerk for East Bay Township and helped start and volunteered for East Bay Fire and Rescue, Dept. #9. She was an avid reader of mystery, enjoyed deer hunting, arts and crafts, casino slots and being a card shark.

Florence is survived by her son, Thomas (Sally) Herald; sister, Frances Fritz; 5 grand children, 5 great grand children and 1 great great grandson.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill and daughter, Sue Ann Schaub.
