Faye Line

Line, Faye G. of Kalamazoo Passed away September 1st, 2017 at the age of 97. Faye was born February 10, 1920 in Myrtle, MO to the late George and Leah (Looney) McDonald. Faye was united in marriage to the father of her children, Hugh Hefner, in 1939. He preceded her in death in 1961. She later married Maurice Line in 1967. He preceded her in death in 1996. Faye enjoyed working with the public and made many friends during her years as as a grocery store cashier at National's in Kalamazoo and Kroger's in Albion,MI.. She and her husband (Maurice) loved to travel and especially liked spending the winters in Arizona. Faye had many memorable stories and sayings. She was a very unique lady and will be greatly missed. Faye is survived by her 4 children: Sherry Foley of CA, Vicki (Dale) Dintaman of AL, Frieda (Mike) Smith and Charles (Sue) Hefner of MI; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Faye was also preceded in death by a grandson: Bruce Montgomery; son-in-law: Jerry Foley; and her siblings. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, September 6, from 12-1:00pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., where a funeral service will begin at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at 2:30pm at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, or Grace Valley Assisted Living, Kalamazoo, MI.
