Everette G. Fitch

With his loving family by his side, Everette G. Fitch, age 69, passed away on Wednesday April 8, 2015 at his residence, on his terms. Everette was born in Jacksonville, IL on March 1, 1946, son of the late Dennis and Virginia (nee: Evans) Fitch.

Following graduation from North Greene High School in White Hall, IL, Everette proudly served in the U.S. Navy, including five tours of duty in the Vietnam War. On May 31, 1969 in Milwaukee, he was united in marriage the love of his life, Sandra “Sandy” Grodzinski. He later graduated with a degree in Combustion Engine Technology from MATC in Oak Creek and served as president of the student senate there from 1977-1978. He owned Fitch’s Truck Repair Inc. in Franklin, where he maintained his own fleet and his customer trucks for many years. His repair garage proved to be a great playground for his kids as well. Many times working three jobs at once, Everette was also employed through the years as a Realtor/Broker, security guard, and mechanic. For the past ten years, you could find him serving and entertaining his many friends while working his dream job as proprietor of Everette’s Pub in Franksville. In his spare time, Everette was passionate about racing cars. Above all, it was his family that gave him the greatest joy, and the reason he worked tirelessly for so many years. He will be remembered fondly for his great commitment and love for his family, his sense of humor, his gruff exterior but tender heart, his fairness, and his ability to fix anything. Everette’s engaging personality and words of wisdom will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of forty five years, Sandy; his four children, Eric “Squirt” Fitch (Keri Blaszczski), Melissa “Muff” (Matt) Marry, Melinda “Gabby” (Ryan) Wilke, Kimberly “Shorty” Solecki; grandchildren, Brittany Ciezki, Wesley Fitch, Mitchell and Madison “Maddy” Marry, W. Reid Wilke, Jake, Aiden and Sophia Solecki; brothers, Randy Fitch (Eileen Eigenman), Larry (Kathy) Fitch; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Danny Ford, Susanne Puetz, Jane (Dana) Clark, Janet (Jim) Taminsky; special nephew and niece, Philip Berriman and Abby Fitch; other dear nieces and nephews, special friend, Hootie, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, Everette was also preceded in death by his son, Richard Everette Fitch, and his sisters, Sonja “Sonnie” Hardwick, Cheryl Anne “Dink” Ford and Teri Berriman.

Per Everette’s wishes, all are welcome to come and celebrate Everette’s life at his second home, Everette’s Pub, 9825 Kraut Rd, Franksville, WI 53126 on Thursday evening April 16, 2015, starting at 4:00 p.m.
