Ethel G. Willkomm, age 95, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Racine Commons. Ethel was born in Kenosha, September 13, 1920, daughter of the late Oscar and Anna (Nee: Miller) Stollenwerk.

On May 3, 1941 she was united in marriage to Joseph N. Willkomm who preceded her in death, April 9, 2008. She was employed for ten years at the Accredited School of Beauty Culture and also with the Food Bank. Ethel was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards, crafts, traveling, reading, and square dancing. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Robert (Sandra) Willkomm of Kenosha, William (Kitty) Willkomm of Greenfield; her grandchildren, Wendy Willkomm, Heidi Willkomm, Kyle (Amy) Willkomm; her great-grandchildren, Anna, Lucia, Darby, Elizabeth and Vivian Willkomm; sisters-in-law, Maureen Willkomm of Kenosha, Marylou Willkomm of Union Grove, Joan Willkomm of Salem, Sr. Generose Willkomm of St. Francis; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Irma Johnson, Edna (Nick) Weis, Bernice (Bernard) Drissel, Roy (Audrey) Stollenwerk, Clem (Alice) Stollenwerk, and Earl (Shirley) Stollenwerk.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 29, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring Street, Racine, with Rev. Bill Dietzler officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the church 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass. Private interment will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover. Memorials to Habitat for Humanity or one’s favorite charity has been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Racine Commons for their loving and compassionate care.
