Esther Nichols

Esther L. Nichols, age 97, of Richland, MI passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017. Esther was born in Kalamazoo on September 10, 1919, the daughter of the late Elmer and Cora (Warner) Haring. On September 23, 1939 she married the love of her life, Richard W. Nichols who preceded her in death on February 22, 2005. Esther was also preceded in death by her daughter in-law, Diane Nichols and five brothers. She leaves behind to cherish her memory three children, Richard H. Nichols, Melonie (Jim) Curtis and Tamara Nichols; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Esther had a zest for life and an irreplaceable personality. She will be remembered for her great love of her children and grandchildren. Esther also enjoyed yard work and was a phenomenal cook. A private family service will be held and interment will take place at Yorkville Cemetery in Richland. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association , c/o the funeral home.
