Emma A. (Knapp)-Prihoda-Sullivan-Locey, age 91, of Kalamazoo, MI was a special, caring beautiful lady. A loving wife and mother. Emma graduated from South Haven High School and then Nazareth College in Kalamazoo MI. Emma was very active with St Ambrose Catholic Church, Mgsr. Hackett High School and many charity organizations. She loved to travel, entertain, cook, bake cakes and make crafts. She has lived in Parchment, Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids Michigan, as well as Homestead, Sebring and Orlando FL. Emma was preceded in death by her husbands John Prihoda (Kalamazoo MI), Daniel Sullivan (Parchment MI), and William Locey (Orlando FL); her parents William and Emma Knapp (South Haven MI); brothers William (Eleanor) Knapp of South Haven MI, Keith (Rita) Knapp of Paw Paw MI, Francis (Lena) Knapp of Sarasota FL, and Fr. Joseph Knapp of New Melleray IA; as well as sisters Melora (Page) Kerbawy of Littleton Co, Mary Louise (David) Cunningham of Newburg NY, and Teresa (William) Locey of Orlando FL, sister-in-law Harriet Knapp; and her grandson Benjamin Prihoda. She is survived by her brother Ivo Knapp of South Haven MI, and sister Sr. Patricia Knapp of Huntington IN; sons John K. (Virginia) Prihoda of Placitas NM, Joseph (Linda) Prihoda of Grand Rapids Mi, Michael (Louise) Prihoda of Milwaukee WI; grandchildren Nicholas (Joni) Prihoda of Zionville IN, Emily Prihoda of Grand Rapids MI and Michelle Prihoda of Milwaukee WI; great-grandchildren Vivian and Benjamin Prihoda of Zionville IN; and by several loving nieces, nephews and special friends as well. Emma's remains have been cremated and funeral services to be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016. Visitation at 10:00am followed at 11:00am with celebration of services at St Ambrose Church 1628 East "G" Ave, Parchment, reception following in parish hall. A family graveside service will follow the reception in Mount Olivet Cemetary. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be given to your local charity.
