Elizabeth Christiansen

Elizabeth "Betty" Christiansen, age 92, of Three Rivers, MI passed away peacefully Monday, December 5, 2016. She was born June 17, 1924, in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Peter and Maria Hoppe. On September 10, 1948, she was joined in marriage to Ben Christiansen. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers, five sisters and her eldest son, Kelly Christiansen. Surviving are three sons, Robert (Susan), William (Debra) and Kary (Vicki) Christiansen; grandchildren, Angela Vanover, Jacob, Karen and Katie Christiansen; great-grandchildren, Julie and Jeffrey Vanover; great-great-grandchild Karmen Vanover. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and interment will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery beside her husband of 42 years. There will be no public services; Pastor John Hill will preside at a family memorial. Memorial donations may be directed to the Newberg Norton Bible Church, 11256 Hoffman Road, Marcellus, MI 49067.
