Elaine Marion Cobb, age 89, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Ridgewood Care Center. She was born in Racine, January 29, 1926, daughter of the late William and Ruth (nee: Nelson) Woelfel.

Elaine graduated from Wm. Horlick High School “Class of 1944”. On May 12, 1945, she was united in marriage to Ralph P. Cobb who preceded her in death in 1970. Elaine was employed by Northside Bank for 32 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and enjoyed shopping, knitting, and cooking. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are sister, Virginia (Malcom) Douglas; brother, William Woelfel; loving nieces and nephews, Suzanne (Ronald) Vyvyan, David (Shawn) Douglas, Karen (Dan) Larsen, Michael (Annie) Thompson, Tim Thompson, Kim Sheppard, Nancy (Dave) Willis, William (Pauline) Woelfel, John Woelfel (Gina Dlugi); other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Thompson; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Woelfel; nephew, Donald Thompson; niece, Nancy Thompson; and longtime friend, Joseph Leggin.

Funeral services will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 4649 Lora St, on Saturday, August 1, 2015, 10:30 a.m., with Reverend Neil Carlson officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. Memorials to the Alzheimers’ Foundation have been suggested.

The family extends a special thank you to the entire staff at Ridgewood Care Center for all of their loving and compassionate care.
