Elaine M. Bielefeldt, age 91, passed away Wednesday, October 04, 2017 at her residence. Elaine was born in Racine, January 1, 1926, daughter of the late Joseph and Cecelia (Nee: Jordan) Meyer.

On August 30, 1947 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Sturtevant Elaine was united in marriage to Robert C. Bielefeldt who preceded her in death, April 6, 2006. A woman of strong faith, she was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and previously St. Edward Catholic Church. Elaine enjoyed socializing, watching game shows, and enjoyed taking long walks. She was a loving mother, devoted to her family, and more than anything she cherished time spent with her grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her children, James (Diane Mandell) Bielefeldt of Verona, David (Linda) Bielefeldt of Rhinelander, Thomas (Cheri) Bielefeldt of Watertown, Cindy (William) Wilson of Racine, Joseph (Carla) Bielefeldt of Rhinelander, Sandra (John) Mandujano, Kenneth Bielefeldt, all of Racine; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Joe Catalina of Hartford, CT; sister, Rita Olle of Racine; brother, Bud (MaryAnn) Meyer of Racine; sister-in-law, Gloria Bielefeldt of Columbus; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patty Catalina; sister, Monica Meyer; and grandson, Billy Wilson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 14, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring Street, with Rev. Yamid Blanco officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and Saturday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to Wheaton Franciscan Hospice have been suggested.

The family extends a special thank you to her caregiver, Joan, and the staff at Wheaton Franciscan Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
