Eileen Hill

Eileen Rice Hill of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the age of 93. Eileen was born in Kalamazoo on March 1, 1924, the daughter of the late Charles Rice and Lillian (Slotman) Rice. She enjoyed reading, traveling, gospel music and spending time with her family. She was married to Lewis D. Hill on February 16, 1946 and he preceded her in death on September 21, 2003. She is survived by her children, Ralph Hill and Sharon Hill; grandchildren, Christine (Douglas) Flamm, Valerie (Dave) Watts and Richard Bloemsma; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Angela, Tiffany, Justin, Courtney, Sarah, Melissa, Kaitlynn and Richard; and one great-great-grandson, Wesley. She was preceded in death by her son, Phillip Hill; and siblings, Gordon Rice, Ritchel Peacock, Helena Brown and Carolyn Rice. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 23rd at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009. A graveside service will take place at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 24th at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, 3941 S. Westnedge, Kalamazoo, MI 49008, officiated by Rev. Greg Van Heukelom.
