Edwin Morseau, age 80, of Portage, Michigan passed away Wednesday October 5, 2016 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was born October 8, 1935 in Silver Creek Township, Michigan son of the late Edward and Hazel (Ambrose) Morseau. Edwin resided in the Portage and Kalamazoo area most of his life and was a graduate of the University High School in Kalamazoo. On February 13, 1960 he married Frances Eagan in Goshen, Indiana. Edwin retired in 1993 from the Upjohn Company following 35 years of dedicated employment and received the Upjohn Award in 1989. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and an avid bass fisherman. For many years he competed tournament bass fishing. Mr. Morseau took great pride in being a member of the Pokagon Band of the Potawatomi Indians. He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 56 years: Frances; three daughters: Mindy, Michelle and Melissa (Ron); five grandchildren: Trent, Branden Katie, Shianne and Amy and one great grandson: Aiden. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law: Zane. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held at a later date with burial of the ashes taking place at the Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery in Dowagiac.
