Edwin C. Kalke, age 71, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Hospice Alliance House, Pleasant Prairie. Edwin was born in Stevens Point, WI, November 22, 1944, son of the late William C. and Doris G. (Nee: Kinney) Kalke.

Ed proudly served as a medic in the United States Army from 1968 until 1970 in Korea. On August 10, 1974 in Stevens Point he was united in marriage to Paula Okray. Ed was an Art Professor at Carthage College where he loved sharing his passion of art with his students. He retired Emeritus after twenty-eight years in 2005. Ed’s art work has been exhibited both regionally and nationally. His art work can be found in many public and private collections. In addition to building, working with Habitat Restore, and fishing, he was also an avid gardener.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of forty-two years, Paula; his sister, Bonnie (Erick) Bullion of Winchester, WI; brother, William Kalke of Watham, MA; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary (Algis) Seskus of Australia, Barbara Hall of Tucson, AZ, Walter (Joan) Okray, Thomas Okray, Phillip (Vicki) Okray, all of Stevens Point; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Kay Kalke.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016, 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at 2:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations to RAM, Artists Gallery, Habitat Restore, or the ALS Society have been suggested.
