Edward H. Schiefel

Surrounded by his loving family, Edward Henry Schiefel, age 77, passed away peacefully Friday, December 23, 2016, at Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha. He was born in Racine, August 26, 1939, son of the late Frank and Alice (Nee: Ingervolle) Schiefel.

On April 26, 1958, in Kenosha, Ed was united in marriage to Juanita F. Jackson and to this union were born 3 children, Debra, Kandie and Eddie Jr. Ed was employed by J.I. Case Co for 30 years retiring in 1992. He was a proud member of UAW Local 180. In his earlier days he enjoyed hunting and most recently he enjoyed electronics especially the TV and the computer. More than anything he treasured time spent with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Juanita; daughters, Debra Connell of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kandie (Jeff) Chmielewski of Racine; grandchildren, Abby (Eddie) Padilla, Christopher (Teressa) Connell, Sam Connell, Emily (Myles) Chmielewski, Shelby, Kelly, and Lindsey Chmielewski, Alyssa (Josh) Szentes; great grandchildren, Paisley, Lucas, Mila, Max, Payton, and Piper; a sister, Alice (Bill) DePoali of Kenosha; in laws, Murray (Kay) Jackson, Mickey (Shelia) Jackson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Eddie, one brother, and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Friday, December 30, 2016, 6:00 P.M. with Reverend Murray Jackson officiating. Private interment will be held in Alabama. Relatives and friends may meet Friday 4:00 P.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Prakash Shah and Dr. Ikram Rashid and their staffs for the loving and compassionate care given Ed these past years.
