Earlene Meisling

Passed away Thursday evening, September 13, 2018. Earlene was born March 3, 1930 in Kalamazoo the daughter of the late Earl and Iness (Harmon) Johnson and had been a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo area. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and attending the grandchildren's various events. Earlene also very much enjoyed trips to Lake Michigan with her family on Sunday afternoons and vacationing in Florida, and upper Michigan with her husband. On August 14, 1948 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Russell Meisling, who preceded her in death on September 8, 2009. She was also preceded in death by a brother and sister. Earlene is survived by her children, Judy (Frank) Metelka, Dave (Joette) Meisling, Brad (Anne) Meisling; 8 grandchildren, Scott (Michele) Metelka, Lisa (Tony) Cressey, Shawn (Jennifer) Metelka, Jared (Nikki) Meisling, Kara (Sean) Crowe, Caroline (Matt) Kestner, Angela Meisling, Sarah Meisling; 6 great-grandchildren, Caleb, Alyssa, Lily, Sydney, Elliot, and Scarlet; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, September 19 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
