E. Jean Hoxie of Traverse City passed peacefully with the presence of her family on April 8, 2016. Jean was born to the late Frank and Madeline Lissolo Sept 4,1930 in Highland Park, MI.

Jean graduated from Highland Park High School. She retired from Fidelity Bank in West Bloomfield after 30 years of service. Jean married her longtime friend Richard Hoxie on Dec. 29, 1989. After retiring Jean and Richard located to Traverse City in 1995. She loved the quiet life in her home with a good book and listening to Frank Sinatra. Her daughters called her a true "bopper". She enjoyed riding alongside Richard in his golf cart not hesitant to offer a gesture at a "bad shot". Richard and Jean spent many winters in Gulf Shores Ala.

Surviving Jean is her loving and devoted husband Richard; daughters, Janice Ross (Sam Hollis), Kim Ross of Lake Ann, MI; Step daughter, Lisa Hoxie Drew (Calvin) of Ecorse MI; stepson, Rick Hoxie of Laguna Hills, CA and brother in law Jack Hoxie of Suttons Bay, MI.

Proceeding Jean in death were her parents and a brother, Darrell Lissolo.

Richard wishes to thank the entire staff of Grand Traverse Pavilions especially the Elm unit for their love and care for Jean making their home her home, as well as the comfort and support extended to him.

As for Jean's wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
