Dylan LaForge

Dylan Christopher LaForge, also known as Recon, started his journey on August 25th, 1986 at 4:47pm. He unexpectedly stopped counting his years on Wednesday April 15, 2020 at the young age of 33. The family asks for memorial donations to be made in his name to the Salvation Army, the Humane Society or a local homeless shelter. Dylan had a tenderness and compassion in his soul which is rare to find anywhere. He wanted to help others even at his own expense. Even now in death he has given the Gift of Life so that his love can touch the lives of other families. He loved people and did everything he could to share the kindness in his heart with the world. He had a remarkably special relationship with his grandparents, especially grandma Gayle who has acted as his guardian angel. He could not understand or tolerate social injustice of any kind. He did volunteer work for many different groups and organizations. He was very creative and expressed himself with art. He also had a profound love of music that spanned across all styles. He very much enjoyed bike riding and cooking meals to share with friends. He is survived by his parents, Su LaForge and David LaForge (Cathy Ott), his brother, Elliot LaForge (Meg Morris), step siblings, Heather Burkett (Casey Caid), Andy Burkett, Jeremy Burkett and Jesse Holston (Jess Holston), as well as his grandmothers, Gayle Cook (Dave Cook), Ann LaForge and Millie Ott. He was blessed with a large family of aunts, uncles and cousins, that all loved him. He has joined in heaven his grandmother Lois Baar and his beloved grandfather Ed LaForge who recently passed, and whom Dylan had been greatly missing. A memorial to celebrate his life will be held at a later date, when we can be together safely. Anyone who would like to join is welcome, we have created a Facebook group to remember him where we will post the details of the service as they become available. Your memory will be treasured in our hearts forever. You were loved by so many and will be missed beyond measure. Joldersma-Klein
