Duane A. Dean, age 52, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Clement Zablocki VA Medical Center. Duane was born in Dubuque, IA, April 3, 1965, son of Raymond and Phyllis (Nee: Scannell) Dean.

He was a graduate of Hempstead High School, Dubuque, IA “Class of 84,” and Hawkeye Community College, Waterloo, IA. Duane proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1984-87. On September 6, 1986 at St. Anthony Catholic Church he was united in marriage to Pamela J. Lape. Duane was employed by General Mitchell International Airport as an aircraft mechanic. He was an active member of St. Rita Catholic Church and loved the Lord. An avid Packer and Brewer fan, he also enjoyed fishing. Most of all he cherished time with family and friends.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Pam; daughters, Kelly Dean, Sondra Dean; his mother, Phyllis Dean; brother, Darin (Tina) Dean; sister, Darcy Ries; sisters-in-law, Lori Bahl, Tina (Jason) Knockel; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Dean; brothers, Kenneth and David Dean; and sister, Darla Dean.

Visitation will be held at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Avenue, Racine, Friday, May 19, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, IA.
