Douglas A. Mickel

Douglas A. Mickel, aged 59, a loving father, passed away the afternoon of Monday June 20th 2016. He is preceded in death by his father Blair N. Mickel on Jan. 13th 1972, and mother Bertha J. Kolb Mickel Smith on April 11th 2008. Survived by his daughter, Angela M. Mickel. Doug had an undoubtable talent for drawing and painting, he continued creating new pieces of art even in his last days. His love for music branched out from bands such as The Beatles, Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin and extending into today's modern alternative influences, just to name a few. Doug also had a passion for Aviation and World History. At a young age he discovered books, reading anything he could get his hands on which included, but not limited to, World Wars I, II, and anything involving flight. Most importantly his memory will live on through his daughter as he made sure to share everything, that he enjoyed in life, with her. Cremation has taken place. No Service is scheduled.
