Dorothy LaCoss

LaCoss, Dorothy E. Portage Age 82, passed away at Kairos Dwelling on Thursday, May 18, 2017 with her family by her side. Dorothy was born in Kalamazoo on April 21, 1935 to the late Ralph E. and Lucy L. (Horton) Crawford. In addition to her parents Dorothy was preceded in death by a son, Keith LaCoss; grandson, Matthew Jenkins and 11 siblings. On June 12, 1954 she married Jack E. LaCoss who survives. Dorothy is also survived by her children, Tim (Anne) LaCoss, Patricia (John) Koslek and Jacqueline Pieri; daughter in-law, Debra (Louis Vallier) LaCoss; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was the rock of her family, always caring for and tending to her children and grandchildren's needs. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and was a great cook. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home; with Pastor Jim Dyke officiating. A time of visitation will take place at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Entombment will be at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South.
