Dorothy J. Lingsweiler

Dorothy J. Lingsweiler, age 92, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Ridgewood Care Center. Dorothy was born in Racine, May 20, 1922, daughter of the late Otto and Edith (Nee: Lowe) Jandl.

She was employed as an Investment Officer at Chase Bank for many years. Dorothy was a past board member of the Racine Humane Society. She was loving and devoted to her family and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children, Nanette (Curt) Lingsweiler, Robert (Jeanne) Ellis; stepson, Bruce (Kathleen) Lingsweiler; grandchildren, Ryan (Brandy) Lingsweiler, Erin Lingsweiler, Kirsten Lingsweiler, Ethan Lingsweiler, Shaun Lingsweiler, Megan Lingsweiler; great-granddaughter, Evelyn; brother, Robert Jandl; sister-in-law, Jeanne Swanson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, A.W. Ellis and her second husband, Raymond E. Lingsweiler.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2015, 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. John Roekle officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Tuesday at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at 2:00 P.M. Memorials to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church or to Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund have been suggested.
