Ann passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 8, 2018 at Sue's Loving Care with her husband by her side. She was born on September 16, 1936 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Arthur and Dorothy (Reames) Buist. At age 3, Ann lost her mother. Her aunt Lorna Reames raised her, married Arthur, and adopted Ann as her own. She was a 1954 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School and also attended Western Michigan College. On May 20, 1956, she was united in marriage to Max W. Hausermann. Ann raised 4 children (Mark, Debi, Dale, and Dan) and was a foster mother for more than 30 infants over the years. She was an active volunteer for Catholic Family Services, American Red Cross, and Meals-On-Wheels. Ann lived her strong faith in God and was an active member of Parchment United Methodist Church with both W.S.C.S. (Women's Society of Christian Service) and the church choir. Preceding her in death was her son Mark Hausermann on September 30, 2008. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Max Hausermann; 3 children: Deborah (James) Adams, Dale Hausermann, and Dan (Shelly) Hausermann; daughter-in-law: Bernadette (Tom) Braganini; 8 grandchildren: Jenna Hausermann, Rachel (Thomas) Durst, Matt Hausermann, Ryan (Candi) Adams, Ben (Charlie) Adams, Maggie (Jason) Beavers, Corey (Julie) Saganski, and Shane Saganski; 7 great-grandchildren: Hannah, Ava, Lily, Cole, Jordy, Liam and McKenna; two brothers: Phil (Marilyn) Buist and Lee (Shelly) Buist; brother-in-law: Rev. Carl (Marcia) Hausermann; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate Ann's life will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, May 14, at Parchment United Methodist Church, 225 Glendale Blvd, Parchment, where friends may visit with the family from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Pastor Tom Davenport will officiate. A luncheon will follow the service at church. Private family inurnment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
